March Announcement

Pursuant to 4GCA §8138, the Government of Guam Retirement Fund announces that the Guam Election Commission will conduct a Board of Trustees Election on Saturday, June 14, 2014 for Retiree Member Offices (2) and Active Member Offices (2) on the Government of Guam Retirement Fund Board of Trustees.

For Potential Candidates

Any interested Active Member (employee of the Government of Guam, who is employed and has been employed for at least five (5) years by the Government of Guam, and is a contributing member of the Government of Guam Retirement Fund/System) or any Retiree Member (retired employee of the Government of Guam, who is receiving an annuity for the Defined Benefit (DB) Plan, or a periodic payment from the Defined Contribution (DC) Plan) may pick up a Candidate Packet at the Guam Election Commission, GCIC Building Suite 200, Hagåtña. A prospective candidate seeking election shall submit a Candidate Statement and a Nomination Petition. The Nomination Petition shall be signed by no less than one hundred fifty (150) persons who are eligible to vote as members of the Fund or Retirement System. Deadline to submit applications for candidacy is Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Guam Election Commission.

 

Absentee Ballot Application

Beginning Monday, April 28, 2014, the Guam Election Commission will begin accepting Absentee Ballot Applications from eligible voters who are home bound, or will be off-island on the day of the election. To request for an Absentee Ballot Application via email, click here, or call us 477-9791.
